In the past, I like to say in my other life. I was in the social work field, a paramedic and owned a small business for five years. Paul and I have four grown children two sons and two daughters. My husband Paul is a Mining Engineer and has been in this field all his adult life.

I have dreamed about having my own business again for quite some time now. I finally saw the opportunity to start a small Inn and pursue my passion of breeding and showing/training dogs ~ I jumped at it! When Paul and I moved to Thunder Bay this beautiful home and property (27 acres) just fell into our laps after we had been looking for two years for that perfect place. The minute we saw Copper Cliff I knew this was meant to be and we were meant to be here. I started planning immediately!

Going back to all my passions in life.....fine dinning, decorating and beautiful animals was an easy choice for me. These are things I have loved all my life. I originally took my training in Hotel Restaurant Management and I have studied gourmet cooking for many years. When I finished my training and not being able to find work in this field I went back for training to become a Social Worker and Paramedic. However, deep down I always knew someday I would find my way back to where my passions were. Over the years Paul and I have been very involved in the communities we have lived in. We have both been past Presidents of the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, Curling Club, PTA, Figure Skating, Hockey and Search and Rescue.

Paul and I both enjoy meeting and entertaining new people. We have traveled extensively and stayed in some very beautiful places. I believe my past experiences in business, social work and my involvement in the communities I have lived in, as well as my passion for beautiful, sound, healthy animals, will be an added strength to our breeding program and Lodge. I plan on drawing on these experiences and places to make "Coppercliff " the very best it can be.
