"Kain"Finding Copper Cliff:
“ When Kevin and I had decided that we wanted german shepherd, it was about a 2 month process of searching online, before I found Copper Cliff. My initial email to Fay was “I was looking at your site, and finally found the confirmation I like in GS’s”.
Looking online I found it hard to find a breeder who was within Ontario, with a confirmation that we liked.
Copper Cliff maintained excellent (daily!) communication in answering all of my questions that I had about her dogs, and when it was narrowed down to our want of a boy, came the question. We were not prepared to take a pup for another month and a half- when we would have time off work, and I was worried we wouldn’t be able to get a pup from Copper Cliff. Fay, graciously agreed to keep him until we were ready to take him into our home, and even offered to take him with her other pup to “puppy kindergarten” so he wouldn’t fall behind.(thank you to Copper Cliff’s junior handler Mel, who took such great care of our boy!) So it was settled, we were going to be bringing home “Copper Cliff’s Dynamic Kain”. Copper Cliff provided us with information about flights, where to get the best deals on shipping crates and updated us regularly on his classes, emailed us more photographs, and details about his silly moments he provided throughout.
Kain Comes Home:
Kain was unknowingly and early Christmas surprise for Kevin (well, that’s what I told KevinJ!!!), with the intended arrival at the Ottawa airport (100%coincidentally the same evening and time as Kevin’s flight was to arrive) When I got a call from Toronto from Kevin to let me know when his flight was coming it, I was giddy with excitement-Kevin was flying in on a Westjet flight, and he was surprised when I told him what his flight number was, since Kain was also flying Westjet!!! I asked “do you know who is on the plane with you?? Our dog!!!!!” It couldn’t have worked out better, and Kevin told most of the other passengers that his dog was on the plane with him.
When I picked up Kevin, we rushed to the cargo to pick up Kain.
Peering into the kennel, we saw a very handsome boy, tucked into a warm blanket. Fay had provided all the backups(another attention to detail, proving this breeder is in it for the right reasons, and truly loves each and every one of her dogs) extra food taped to the outside of the kennel, and all of his paperwork, and his little red ball.
When we took him out to stretch his weary traveler’s legs, we found a handsome pup with enormous paws and ears! We were both amazed at how beautiful he was …
Now at home, Kain has instantly turned our world inside out and upside downJ!!!! He loves his squeaky toys, and is incredibly intelligent, and friendly with our older cat. We were very impressed that Kain was so polite when wanting to be cuddled- never jumping up or being pushy ,he just sat down quietly at our feet looking up with his gorgeous eyes.
Kevin and I did our research, and both agreed that if we were going to get a shepherd he had to be the ‘right one’ as so often popular breeds are overbred ,with poor or agressive temperaments- this was not an option when bringing a shepherd into our home.
Copper Cliff provided us with exactly what we wanted, and more, understanding our need for a family dog, who was also a great example of the GSD breed. We can’t stress enough how happy we are with Kain, and how much love and joy he has brought to our home”

KOLBY - He is doing wonderful and he is a ball full of energy all he thinks about is cookies (meaning doggie biscuits) he will jump just about up to the counter and do a little flip in the air as soon as you walk into the kitchen it is priceless. Sending some updated pictures he is so dark you can never see his big brown eyes. He also steals Wally's pillow at night as he is most deffently my guy as he has to be close to me at all times and yes he sleeps with us more like in between us and snuggle up with his head on the pillow. He is well loved and I am so glad that we got him.

Good Morning,
Just wanted to let you know R.J. is doing great!He is getting along well with Athena & Hooch!
He is very well behaved and we can't believe how quick he is to learn! VERY SMART BOY!!!!!!
We want to let you know how pleased we are with him,and want everyone to know what a fabulous place he came from!
Everyone has been commenting on his beautiful colors,and we are proud to say he is from Copper Cliff Kennels.
He just loves curling up on the couch with the kids at night to watch the t.v! He is also quite the bed hog!!!LOL
I think we'll have to get a king sized bed just to accommodate everyone!!!

Tyson, Felicia & her girlsFay is amazing to say the least!! Her pups are absolutely gorgeous. We have had Tyson for 17 months now and he's a
joy to have around. His temperament, behavior (and good looks) will blow you out of this world.I've been to her home and the have seen all the dogs, both parents were on site as well. The kennels are kept clean and you can see that this woman, loves all her dogs. She will provide you with support and is easily accessible.
Tyson is doing very, very well... I've added in a picture for you too see. By the way, he loves kids, both big and small. In fact he even gets excited when the neighbors come home, cause he wants to go over and visit.
